Climbing the highest peak in south Wales is no easy job, but these Wilcox warriors showed who’s boss this month as they scaled to new heights.
The Wilcox individual challenge is an annual event that aims to physically challenge our young people, whilst giving them a taste of the outdoors. This year saw the group climb up the west side of Pen Y Fan, a dizzying 2,864ft climb and decent in around 8 hours.
Roger Wilcox, a former Royal Marine and longstanding supporter of the Stonehouse Gang launched the challenge many years ago to reflect his belief in the value of outdoor pursuits and personal challenge.
Well done to all the young people who took part, as well as the volunteers who also conquered this mammoth challenge.
