Carnival fun for the Gang

Stonehouse Gang took their place at the annual Bournville Carnival this weekend with the aim to raise money and awareness for club.

Volunteers manned the stand throughout the day encouraging passers by to take part in one of the games or to buy toys that had kindly been donated. Rob Green, Leader of the Gang tells us more:

“The Carnival is a good opportunity for us to get out and talk to people about the Stonehouse Gang. Quite a lot of people approach us saying they went to the Gang 50 plus years ago and it was a massive part of their life – so it’s great to think its still going today.

“It’s also a chance for us to talk to parents and young people about joining the Gang as new members – so hopefully we’ll see some new faces as a result of the Carnival.”

Thanks to Jack, Rosie, Amanda, Katie, Roger and Maureen for volunteering on the day.
