Bronze ‘Dukes’ triumph

This weekend saw our latest group of young people undertake their practice expedition for their bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The expedition, that is undertaken over two days, challenges the participants to walk, cycle, canoe or horse ride for 10-12 miles. Our group undertook a walk in Derbyshire in the sweltering heat and sunshine – so they certainly deserved a well earned rest when they pitched up for the night (below).

The group aim to undertake their actual expedition in September, before finishing off the other elements of the award ahead of receiving their award.
